Lyris` Hot Banana Web content management solution (CMS) was ranked highest in overall ease of use by the 2007 Gilbane Group Survey on the Web Content Management User Experience, according to Business Wire.

The survey was distributed to users of more than 20 commercially available Web CMS solutions.

Hot Banana also ranked in the top three for its navigation and feature functions and for its incorporation of rich media.

Intellect unveils management guide

Intellect today announced the release of 'Document management concerns the whole board - a guide for all directors`, according to Trading Markets.

Published by Intellect`s Document Management Group, and launched with the support of Open Text Corporation and Xerox Global Services, the paper highlights the root cause of a range of serious issues facing organisations, relating to poor document management.

Standard Life deploys EMC

Standard Life has installed EMC Captiva InputAccel document capture and Dispatcher software to cut operational costs, says Bob`s Guide.

Working with EMC, Standard Life will be able to automate its business process by up to 90%, respond more quickly to customer needs and comply more easily with industry through effective management and integration of its paperwork into electronic format.

Gerry Timoney, change consultant at Standard Life, says: "This recognition technology will allow us to route a large proportion of documents, applications and sales orders automatically instead of staff having to look at the document on screen and decide where it goes."
