A recent study conducted by World Wide Worx found that 60% of the urban market have mobile phones with Internet browsing capability, and the service aims to harness that power.
The KwaZulu-Natal sites' owners say: “The Internet phone market is growing so fast that we knew we had to invest in it. With more and more people accessing the Internet via their phones, we saw a real opportunity to broaden our reach.
“The majority of existing mobile job sites simply allow jobseekers to browse jobs and e-mail themselves the links to apply later. HotelJobs has taken things a step further by allowing job seekers to apply directly from their phone.”
Once registered on the main Web site, users can apply for jobs via the mobi site.
