Tax season is upon us. If any of you are like me, submitting income tax returns may seem quite daunting. When the opportunity came for Pluritone to work with EpicCo Accounting and Advisory Services to develop the EpicTax Mobile App, Pluritone was thrilled to be part of this company's vision to deliver a user-friendly mobile solution to all South African tax payers.
It was through EpicCo's interaction with clients as well as the man on the street that it came to realise the need for a user-friendly platform where personal income tax returns can be submitted and affordable interaction between tax payers and tax practitioners can take place. And so EpicTax was born!
EpicTax is a simple and user-friendly mobile application for all South African tax payers to gain access to a registered tax practitioner at a very affordable price. The services on offer include submission of an individual's annual income tax return, chat with the tax practitioner about tax related issues, access to the individual's tax history, access to tax updates, tax news and other tax payers' frequently asked questions, and the use of a simple tax calculator. This is a highly innovative product, which disrupts the way tax payers interact with tax practitioners.
The EpicTax mobile app was developed using the Xamarin platform and supported by Microsoft's Azure cloud hosting technology.
