HP adds to services

HP has revealed several new additions to its printer and imaging services lines, including four new inkjet printers, a range of professional graphics and photo printers, and a new photo printing deal with Tesco, according to vnunet.

The four new printers will cost between $49 and $299 (R513 and R3135) and will range from conventional devices to integrated all-in-one units which include scanning and fax capabilities.

The company is also planning to introduce a new online custom print store and an updated version of its photo centre printing service for retailers. Among the retailers set to offer the service is UK chain Tesco.

Burrell expands photo service

Burrell Colour Imaging has embraced printing technology from Kodak in its transition from serving Chicago and north-west Indiana photographers to a national full service lab offering both traditional and digital processing and printing, Graphic Arts online reports.

CEO Don Burrell investigated many digital press printing solutions, and chose the Kodak Nexpress S2500 Digital Production Colour Press because of its ability to deliver the quality, durability, and longevity required by the professional photographic industry.

“The fifth imaging unit solution of the Nexpress Colour Press gives us many unique opportunities in the photographic market,” says Burrell, who started the company in 1959.
