HP agrees Printelligent acquisition
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Printelligent offers managed printing services, which includes providing everything from printers to copiers to software to services, typically on a contract basis.
Printelligent will be merged into HP's Imaging and Printing Group within the LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions unit, HP said.
According to ComputerWorld, the Printelligent deal provides HP with leverage for offering clients unified management of large numbers of copiers, printers and fax machines.
The target is businesses with hundreds of employees, which often outsource this type of work, using managed printing services to organise documents, reduce hardware dependency and increase work efficiency.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed, reports CRN.
