New HP OfficeJet K Series offers Small offices and Home offices cost effective Scanning, Faxing, Copying and Internet Communications
Hewlett-Packard Company, the worldwide market leader in printers, scanners and all-in-ones, has announced the new Internet-enabled OfficeJet K Series all-in-ones.
The K80 benefits from a faster 33.6kbps modem and a scan resolution of up to 3600dpi. Both OfficeJet K Series products will be available in October.
Convenient for the home office
The new OfficeJet K Series marks the first all-in-one that offers HP customers a cost effective and hassle-free Internet appliance which is perfect for the small office and home office user. Featuring HP NetDirect, powered by ShareMedia, HP customers will have access to a variety of Internet communications services through the all-in-one without the hassle of having to use the PC. These services include: fax to email, receive and print email messages, and downloading web pages.
Through a partnership with ShareMedia Inc., HP customers will receive a free trial period of the above messaging services.
"The new all-in-ones are a hassle free, flexible communication tool for the busy small office/home office, providing improved efficiency and productivity by having four functions right on your desktop." said Wim Heuninck, HP marketing manager, hardcopy products. "For example, the fax to email function is as easy as using a fax machine - with push button ease your document is sent as an email message directly to the selected email address."
Simplified Software and Control
The HP OfficeJet K Series features a new simplified software Suite, HP OfficeJet Director. HP OfficeJet Director is an Integrated Image Editor with common editing functions built in which means no need for a separate editing application for scanned images. It features faster scanning previews - which provide a quicker, more convenient scanning experience - and photo printing templates which allow the simple creation of photo projects.
The OfficeJet K Series has advanced copy features on the front panel, these include: Mirror Reverse for T-shirt transfers, Reduce/Enlarge that provides easy enlargements and reductions, and Multiple Copies from one original.
Professional Image Quality
The OfficeJet K Series all-in-ones offer professional quality through HP`s exclusive colour layering technology, PhotoREt III. The new products make capturing images easy through 600 x 600 dpi and 36-bit scanning providing vivid, true-to-life colour for images. Copysmart II offers advanced copying features including, reduce/enlarge, mirror image, and multiple copies. The K Series also includes stand-alone colour and black-and-white faxing on plain paper and a 20-page automatic document feeder.
The HP OfficeJet K80 is network capable, and with the purchase of a HP Jet Direct external print server, users can print, fax, scan and copy from any PC within a networked office. It also features a USB (Universal Serial Bus) for faster connection between the computer and K series.
