HP appoints new LaserJet lead

HP has appointed Nor Rae Spohn to senior vice president of the company's LaserJet Printing Business, reports PRDomain.

Spohn, who has been with HP for 26 years, will report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of HP's Imaging and Printing Group (IPG).

"Nor Rae is a natural leader with a deep understanding of HP's Imaging and Printing business," says Joshi. "Her distinguished leadership track record makes her a natural fit for this role and I look forward to her continued contributions as a key member of the IPG leadership team."

The Daily Times is acquiring a new $6.5 million printing press and new production facility to produce livelier, more colourful and higher-quality newspapers, reports delmarvanow.com.

Daily Times' production facility will move from its downtown location to the Northwood Industrial Park in north Salisbury industrial park.

The new facility, which is scheduled to open in early 2008, will print The Daily Times and its affiliated community publications in the Delmarva Media Group, replacing a 29-year-old press.
