HP has enhanced its global PartnerOne programme.

The aim of the changes is to make it easier and more predictable for partners to do business with HP.

The updates include competitive rebates as part of the compensation model, role-based certifications, as well as a consistent membership structure and an improved partner portal navigation experience.

"HP understands that in order for our partners to grow their business and remain competitive, we need to evolve how we work together," says David McMurdo, HP Enterprise Group indirect country sales manager.

The latest enhancements follow on from updates rolled out earlier this year, which included a move to reward partners for sales.

Attempting to simplify rules of engagement, a dedicated HP team will be created and will focus on co-selling with partners in the large enterprise segment, allowing them to better serve customer needs, according to HP.

The changes will also see the partner portal allowing for quicker access to tools and content, in addition to featuring updated HP branding.

For Convergent Technologies Group, an enterprise solutions partner, the changes will make it easier to work with HP, according to John Monahan, executive VP of sales at Convergent Technologies Group.

"In order to grow business, partners need programmes that offer tailored resources as well as effective training and support to help our customers meet their goals," said Monahan, adding that the programme provides Convergent Technologies with the tools and incentives it needs to promote its relationship with HP and its customers, while helping the company grow its business.

"We're making the PartnerOne programme simpler, more profitable and more predictable with the addition of new specialisation tracks, a predictable compensation model, a consistent membership structure, as well as a streamlined certification process," said McMurdo.

The updated version of HP PartnerOne will be available from 1 November in most countries.
