During his opening address to media at HP Discover 2013, in Las Vegas, Todd Bradley, executive VP of HP's PPS business, said the company builds hardware, but it also makes connections, delivers experiences and powers potential.
"There is a new style of IT," he explained. "Today it's about touch, gesture and voice. It's about radical new form factors. A new era defined by anywhere, anytime connectivity, from any device, done safely and securely."
He said HP is investing heavily in mobility and is creating devices to drive this. "HP's aim is to help customers move between the physical and digital worlds."
Bradley added that HP is allowing customers to access vital information to run their businesses and their lives, to access information when, where and how they want.
With this in mind, the company has extended its portfolio of personal systems products and solutions.
Designed to help organisations save time and money, GM and senior VP of HP's business PCs and solutions, Enrique Lores, said the new offerings integrate seamlessly into existing enterprise environments and advance speed-of-business by increasing efficiency in creating, accessing and consuming content.
Introduced today were HP Pro and HP Elite series desktop PCs, featuring multimedia and optional touch-screens, and according to Lores, they act as 'the hub of enterprise productivity'.
HP's Pro and Elite series desktop PCs offer high-powered computing functions in a range of compact form factors that fit easily into any office environment, while offering the highest levels of security, said Lores.
In addition, HP Pro and HP Elite series AiO PCs, also unveiled today, offer additional options for office productivity, including touch-screen capabilities and integrated near-field communications (NFC) for quick and convenient file sharing.
Bradley said businesses need every advantage they can to stay competitive and continue growing and thriving.
"By delivering technology that enables efficiency, productivity, and ultimately, cost savings, HP helps customers move to a more modern solution that addresses the changing demands of an active enterprise landscape," he concluded.
