Hewlett-Packard Company has announced it has cut prices by up to 54 percent on its HP AdvanceStack Switch 208T, 224T and 800T. "HP is committed to providing customers with cost-effective, high-performance networking solutions," said Theirry Boulanger, marketing manager, PCs and Networking. "We`re responding to current networking market and business demands with these aggressive price cuts, and we`ll continue to be price competitive." The HP AdvanceStack Switch 208T and 224T support eight and 24 10Base-T ports respectively, for switched performance to the desktop. Both switches support two 100Base-T ports for high-speed connection to a server or network centre. The HP AdvanceStack Switch 800T is a high-performance segment switch ideal for server farm connections with eight transceiver bays for 100Base-TX or 100Base-FX ports. All the above products offer advanced manageability via HP AdvanceStack Assistant, which comes free with all HP AdvanceStack managed switches.
