HP debuts Indian enterprise centre

The Hindu.

Addressing the media, Pierre Mirlesse, VP, managed enterprise solutions, imaging and printing group, HP Asia-Pacific and Japan, said the managed print services (MPS) business is “going through a phase of dramatic growth in India.”

The Indian market is growing faster than markets in Australia and Japan, he added. Within the Asia-Pacific region, HP has similar centres in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

InformationWeek reports that according to a report by Springboard Research, the MPS market in Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan) region is estimated to grow to $1 billion by 2012. The Indian market is expected to be the fastest growing market in the region, with a CAGR of 22.6%.

“Over the last one year, managed enterprise printing has seen immense growth as CIOs have realised the benefits of MPS in cost savings and optimised workflows. Going forward, we expect a larger number of enterprises to adopt this model to maximum value from their IT investments,” said Nitin Hiranandani, director, managed enterprise services, HP IPG.

The centre will help enterprises accomplish an instant on vision, increase operational efficiency, decrease costs and accelerate their business growth, the company said, according to Deccan Herald.

It offers enterprises immersive, simulated experience of optimised real-world work environments with latest innovation in printing solutions.
