HP debuts 'plug-and-print' line

HP has introduced its line-up of LaserJet printers and solutions for small to medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in New Delhi, India, says PRLog.

The printers are designed to help SMEs fast-track growth in the current economy. The HP Smart Install allows customers to print by connecting a netbook, notebook or desktop to the printer via a USB cable.

“Today's SMEs need to use their resources wisely, working smarter and faster to maintain their competitive edge as the economy recovers,” says Samir Shah, director of the commercial and enterprise printing business, HP India.

Hawk Graphics signs ink deal

Hawks Graphics Zimbabwe, a graphics printing company, has signed an agreement with Tech-Nova Imaging Systems, to be the sole distributor of its Web offset inks products in the country, states The Herald.

Web offset ink is used for printing newspapers and commercial printing.

"This development should see vast improvements in the graphics and printing environment in the country, especially as regards our newspapers and scholastic products," says Vivian Zulu, GM at Hawk Graphics Zimbabwe.

Dell releases mobile printing solution

Four new printer models have been released by Dell to meet the needs of mobile customers, says TCMnet.

Dell says the solutions deliver one-touch reliability and proximity printing technology without sacrificing performance, enabling IT administrators to focus on critical business needs instead of printer administration.

"These printer solutions, together with the successful introduction of eight black-and-white printers earlier this year, reflect Dell's commitment in building a printer portfolio based on customer-relevant technologies," says Tim Peters, VP of imaging at Dell.
