HP drives down enterprise costs

HP has expanded its portfolio of offerings for enterprises seeking to drive efficiency, cost savings and environmental responsibility into their imaging and printing operations, states FoxBusiness.

Designed to help enterprise customers optimise and manage their imaging and printing environments and improve document workflows, the new offerings include two high-speed scanners, extensibility platform capabilities, fleet management software, solutions for telecommuters, and five large-format devices.

David Murphy, senior vice-president, of LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, HP, says: "The offerings help customers meet their immediate challenges and provide a foundation for emerging stronger once the economy stabilises”.

ICOH, Nuance team up

Nuance Communications, a provider of speech and imaging solutions, has partnered with Ricoh, a provider of office equipment, says FoxBusiness.

The two companies have jointly released the Personal Paperless Document Manager, a new desktop application that makes document scanning and conversion with network multifunction printer devices easier.

The user experience is enhanced with a desktop application and touch-screen and allows scanning to the desktop, creating a searchable PDF and converting to a formatted Word document with one selection.

SpringCM signs new partners

SpringCM, a provider in on-demand document management and workflow, has signed up three new partners, namely Advanced Capture Team, StylusAP, and Young Systems, reports Market Wire.

Additionally, two existing Solutions Central partners, Harding Group and US Archive & Imaging Services, have revealed new solutions on the SpringCM platform.

Dick Hoffmann, SpringCM's vice-president of business development and strategic alliances, says: "We're delighted with how across the industry have taken advantage of the opportunity to develop high-value solutions built on their industry and domain expertise and powered by the rich features of the SpringCM platform.”
