HP extends Latex portfolio
At West 2011, an event co-sponsored by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and the US Naval Institute, HP demonstrated its expanded portfolio of HP Latex Printing Technologies, says Wide Format Imaging.
These printing solutions are designed to broaden production capabilities for public sector customers with ease while reducing their environmental impact.
Since introduction, the HP Designjet L25500 Printer and HP Latex portfolio have seen tremendous market acceptance with more than 3 000 latex ink printing systems shipped, producing more than 100 million square feet of materials.
Ricoh takes on tech giants
Ricoh plans to challenge HP and Xerox in managed-print services by investing $300 million during the next three years in new technologies, IT infrastructure and salespeople, states eWeek.
The revelation comes as HP and Xerox also look to offer more print services to their customers.
Ricoh revealed its plans to invest in its Managed Document Services (MDS) business at several different gatherings.
OKI intros new printing series
OKI Data Americas, which markets its products under the OKI Printing Solutions brand, has revealed the availability of the ML600 Series SIDM printers, including the dual 9-pin ML620/621 and 24-pin ML690/691, reveals Financial Post.
The ML600 Series is newly designed to offer the following improved features: new print-head delivering fast-in-class print speeds of up to 700 cpsi, new front paper path, longer-life ribbon, lower stand-by power consumption and best in class MTBF (mean time between failures) at 25 000 hours.
This feature is set to help make OKI Printing Solutions' Microline printers the most widely-used impact printers in North America, and demonstrate the company's continuing commitment to product innovation and satisfying the needs of its loyal customers.
