HP has appointed Helen Rich as enterprise services (ES) country manager for HP SA, effective immediately.
Rich takes over from Kam Chetty, who assumes a new role in developing growth initiatives for ES in the South African and African markets. Rich also joins the HP SA country management team.
“Helen brings with her 32 years' of extensive experience in the IT industry,” says Frank van Rees, MD of HP SA. “This includes 13 years' of experience at senior management level in ES and EDS, during which she fulfilled various leadership positions within business operations, commercial contract management, transition management, sales support, client management and delivery.”
For the past eight years, Rich managed one of HP's key accounts. Since 2006, she was an account business manager for the sub-Saharan Africa region. Prior to joining EDS in 1998, she was the head of IT for Impala Platinum. Rich started her career in the IT industry as a programmer and project manager.
