HP grows managed print services

HP India plans to adopt a go-to-market strategy and team up with channel to give a fresh thrust to growing its managed print services (MPS), reports The Economic Times.

HP seeks to transform business processes by optimising the company's imaging and printing infrastructure, effectively managing the total imaging and printing environment and improving and streamlining the document workflows.

“The value of environmental savings from MPS, combined with cost and productivity improvements, is a powerful motivator for our enterprise customers in India,” says Nitin Hiranandani, HP India director, managed enterprise solutions, imaging and printing group.

Noritsu intros duplex dry minilab

Noritsu has released its D1005 Duplex Minilab, which the company touts as a high-efficiency, small footprint duplex dry minilab engineered to meet today's photo imaging needs, states AzoOptics.

The D1005 provides retailers with the flexibility to produce photo products in sizes up to 12 by 36 inches.

Noritsu R&D engineers partnered with London Drugs to help ensure the minilab would achieve high versatility and efficiency.

Cummins, Lexmark for MPS

Lexmark and Cummins have announced a multi-million dollar, global managed print services agreement, reports Market Watch.

The agreement includes the deployment of 2 500 colour and monochrome laser printers and multifunction products and the management and maintenance of those devices throughout 33 locations worldwide.

"Lexmark is bringing the power of its managed print services offerings to the Cummins output environment around the world," says Marty Canning, Lexmark vice-president, and president of its printing solutions and services division.
