Hewlett-Packard Company has announced its new proactive networking solution, designed to reduce the cost and complexity of networking.
HP proactive networking encompasses HP`s entire line of hub and switch products as well as its network management software. These industry-standard hardware and software products work together to improve network control, uptime and performance. Proactive networking also assists network managers in trouble-shooting network problems and identifying solutions quickly and easily.

HP proactive networking provides visibility into network traffic levels and patterns, and implements automatic network traffic control. Using HP AdvanceStack Assistant, a powerful network management tool that is shipped free with every managed hub and switch, network managers can access easy-to-understand graphs and information to design, trouble-shoot and upgrade their networks proactively. HP proactive networking also uses Layer 3 switching software, which is compatible with industry-standard hardware and operating systems, to control network traffic such as broadcasts and multicasts.
