Businesses need to respond to business demands faster and faster, all the while managing complex and aging application environments, distributed teams and constant change.
So said HP during its Software Universe event, held in Barcelona this week. “Meeting these challenges requires an integrated management and automation solution that is ready for modern application architectures.”
With this in mind, the company has released HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Consulting Services, which provide expert testing, flexible delivery models and education services.
According to HP, these services enable customers to lower total cost of testing, mitigate risk with lower defect rates, improve testing processes, accelerate implementation timelines and facilitate software adoption.
Other benefits, said HP, include effective testing practices through the definition of an actionable roadmap to maximise value of customers' HP ALM investments. The HP ALM Assessment and Discovery Workshop identifies critical priorities across people, processes and technology by using a maturity model approach. “This results in clients improving testing cycles to bring business applications to market faster while greatly lowering risks.”
The company says ALM services offer flexibility to leverage existing testing processes and resources, while providing cost predictability. With HP Testing-as-a-Service solutions, clients can choose the appropriate combination of services via an “output-based” pricing model for SaaS.
Additionally, the services provide increased visibility and maximised efficiency of testing with design services that removes disparate tool usage, manual processes and inefficient functional or performance testing.
