HP intros MS apps template

Hewlett-Packard is offering reference templates to help IT departments more easily integrate Microsoft applications with its recently released HP Converged Infrastructure architecture, states IT World Canada.

The California-based company introduced services to help customers build and maintain flexible IT environments through a unified converged infrastructure approach last November. The idea is that by flexibly managing pools of infrastructure resources, there comes the ability to quickly deploy new applications and bring on new business.

This week's announcement focuses on making it easier to maintain Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and Windows Server 2008 R2 in a converged environment.

US govt chooses ActiveVOS BPMS

When a North American government agency needed to automate the process of classifying content, it turned to ActiveVOS business process management software (BPMS) from Active Endpoints, reports Digital Media Online.

Upside Research, which successfully deployed ActiveVOS BPM technology, frequently spoke with end-users and the technical personnel responsible for the design and implementation of the process application.

"You can't run a business, an organisation or a government agency without lots and lots of processes," said David Kelly, president, Upside Research. "And while organisations usually have applications that can manage specific tasks, what's needed are ways to manage processes that cross specific applications, require human approval or exception management, or that need to scale for performance reasons."

Skelta BPM, CSSI partner

Skelta BPM has secured a strategic partnership with business solutions and technology provider, CSSI, to strengthen its network in the North American region, according to India PRwire.

Paritosh Shah, executive VP of strategic partnerships at Skelta Software said: "This strategic technology partnership with CSSI is a solid example of Skelta's commitment of enabling process-driven organisations worldwide.”

Jeff Creighton, VP operations at CSSI, added: "This partnership allows CSSI to address the growing need for BPM software in the US and enhances CSSI's ability to meet the needs of its expanding customer base.
