HP launches the `professional` all-in-one HP Officejet 7100 Series

HP has unveiled its new range of high-speed all-in-ones, the HP Officejet 7100 series. Combining printer, fax, scanner and copier functions, ideal for the professional small to medium business or home office user, the HP Officejet 7110, HP Officejet 7130 and HP Officejet 7140xi, offer fast printing and copying with sharp, professional photo quality, true to life scanning and a colour fax in a compact, integrated product with easy to use functions.

The HP Officejet 7100 series is designed for small and home office users looking to produce top quality documents. With up to 4 800x1 200-optimised dpi or HP Photoret III precision technology, the HP Officejet 7100 series offers fast and reliable printing and copying speeds of up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 18ppm in colour when printing on HP Premium Photo Papers.

In addition, the HP Officejet 7100 series has been designed with photo card slots (available with the HP Officejet 7130 and HP Officejet 7140xi) which support CompactFlash, Secure Digital, MultiMedia, SmartMedia and Sony Memory Stick to allow users to print directly from digital cameras without even turning on the PC.

Dual sensor scanning technology allows excellent image quality and quiet, fast operation at up to 1 200x4 800dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour. This new all-in-one product series also offers colour faxing with a 33.6Kbps modem.

The HP Officejet 7110 and HP Officejet 7130 are both fully network capable, while the HP Officejet 7140xi comes network ready, right out of the box with the included HP Jetdirect 200m print server. All three benefit from an optional HP Parallel Cable Adapter which snaps straight into the back of the device, providing customers with the opportunity to share their HP Officejet all-in-one between two PCs.

The HP Officejet 7130 and HP Officejet 7140xi include a 50-page automatic document feeder which allows time saving and unattended multi-page faxing, scanning and copying.

Both models also come with the HP Duplexer (optional with the HP Officejet 7110) which allows two-sided printing and copying.

The second paper tray (included with HP Officejet 7140xi and optional with the HP Officejet 7130 and HP Officejet 7110) allows a paper capacity of 400 sheets for high volume printing and copying.

HP modular ink supplies for fast, high-quality printing without compromises The enhanced HP No. 14 black and HP No. 14 tri-colour ink cartridges are compatible with the new HP Officejet 7100 series printers.

Combined with the already widely used HP No. 14 black, cyan, magenta and yellow printheads, the inkjet print cartridges deliver high-quality documents at a remarkable speed. These ink supplies are components of the HP inkjet printing system, along with HP printers and print media. All components are designed to work together seamlessly and deliver optimum results with every printout.

The HP No. 14 ink cartridges now have higher ink volumes. Therefore, users get a higher page yield out of each cartridge. The supplies` smart print features constantly monitor the ink levels and the printheads` health, alerting the user on time when replacement is necessary. HP`s proprietary ink formulations and sophisticated printheads of the HP No. 14 inkjet supplies allow the production of very small ink drops (18 picolitres for black, 4 picolitres for colour). The results are laser-quality, black text and outstanding colour print quality on any compatible HP print media. In addition, the specially formulated inks are fade-resistant (when used with assorted HP print media) and dry quickly. Users therefore benefit from smear-resistant printouts that retain their original colouring for longer periods of time.
