HP South Africa has responded to customer calls to localise PC and printer service facilities in Cape Town.
The company has now opened a new local repair centre in Centurion Business Park, Montague Gardens, Cape Town. Others are being considered in various regions around the country.
"Sudden changes with business partners caused us to relocate all repairs to Johannesburg" says Nic Callery, Vendor Account manager, HP South Africa. "Although this was not the optimal situation from the customer`s perspective, it allowed us to maintain a repair operation in the country.
There`s a simple reason why we`re opening a Cape Town Service Centre. You, our customer requested it.
The location of the Service Centre has been carefully chosen for ease of access and convenience. The new HP Service Centre is this area will ensure faster repair turnaround times allowing you to keep the focus on your business. The new HP Service also provides a "local" face to the Cape Town Market.
The new Cape Town facility has a full service reception manned by two people. A technician is available to assess carry-in repairs quickly at the qualification desk while four HP-certified technicians man the repair centre.
On-site support is still channelled through HP`s Call Centre on 086 000 1030, but with engineers dispatched from the local service centre.
The centre, which is conveniently located with easy access to all main Cape Town freeways and arterial roads, will service all HP devices such as hand-held PDAs, cameras, scanners and PC HDD and optical disk drives, PC notebooks and desktops and printers and peripherals. Service for large HP systems will continue to be managed centrally from Johannesburg.
"Cape Town users will undoubtedly experience a much faster turnaround time on repairs now that the new facility is underway. What`s more they`ll get a full 30% discount on parts and labour until the end of February for all Out of Warranty repairs," concludes Nic Callery.
The new HP Cape Town Service Centre is located at Unit J7, Centurion Business Park, Bosmansdam Road, Montague Gardens.
