HP looks for head

HP`s Australian Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) and consumer business is looking for a new head, following Christoph Shell`s promotion to a regional role, states ARNnet.

Schell will take over as Asia-Pacific and Japan VP for IPG as well as its Consumer Go-to-Market Unit, from 1 January. He is relocating to Singapore and will replace Han Kong Leong, who is now managing the Supplies Business for APJ.

In a statement, HP said Schell will assume responsibility for the consumer IPG category across all products, solutions and market strategies. He is also tasked with overseeing HP`s consumer business for IPG and the Personal Systems Group.

EFI board members step down

EFI announced that Jean-Louis Gassee and Thomas I Unterberg have notified the company that they will not seek re-election to the company`s board of directors. Both Gassee and Unterberg served as members of the board of directors of the company since 1990, according to DMN Newswire.

"We are extremely grateful to Jean-Louis and Tom for providing EFI with valuable counsel and as members of the board for 17 years, especially during critical stages in the company`s transformation," said Guy Gecht, EFI CEO.

EFI has retained Russell Reynolds Associates to assist the company with identifying potential independent director candidates.

Konica Minolta honoured

Konica Minolta Business Solutions has received a prestigious award from Mail Boxes Etc (MBE). The 2006 Sales Support Award, given out at MBE`s recent Global Convention, in Las Vegas, singled out Konica Minolta from dozens of other vendors of the global franchisor, according to PR Web.
