HP Networking honours channel partners

Johannesburg, 19 Nov 2010

HP Networking announced its top 10 channel partners for the 2010 financial year at an awards evening held at Sunset Boma, Midrand.

HP's integration with 3Com earlier this year did not only bring a significant change to the HP and 3Com teams, but also a major adjustment to the channel of partners and distributors that have invested and keep investing in HP's technology.

“This led the company to acknowledge and reward its top partners - our partners and distributors are the reflection of the success of the brand,” says Chantel Davy, Channel Manager HP Networking South Africa.

The awards were presented by Chantel Davy and Thierry Dumont, HP Channel Manager, MEMA. The judging criteria were based on: performance relating to revenues and targets, certification skills, over-achievement and dedication to required criteria.

The top partners, in alphabetical order, are: Alpine Communications, Bromide, Datacentrix, CEOS Technologies, First Technology, Gijima, Reflex Solutions, Sage Technologies, Sizwe IT Group and TSS Managed Services.

The top three partners for the year of 2010 were, from third place to first place, First Technology, Reflex Solutions, Datacentrix.

The awards evening was sponsored by the four distributors for HP Networking - Axiz, Comztek, Duxbury and Tarsus. The distributors were acknowledged and thanked for their contribution to the channel partners and to HP Networking and were awarded a token of appreciation by Michael Wilson, Partner Account Manager HP Networking South Africa.

“It is important for us to show our appreciation and recognition to the channel partners,” adds Davy. “The evening also served as a platform to say goodbye to the 3Com and ProCurve branding, which led us to HP Networking. We look forward to an exciting 2011 financial year,” she concludes.
