
HP notebooks get consumer-friendly
The HP TouchPad will use WebOS, an operating system that HP acquired when it bought Palm last year.
The device will also be able to play animations and videos created using Adobe Systems; Flash technology, something Apple has repeatedly claimed will not run on the iPad.
PC World indicates that HP is veering towards convergence and the consumerisation of IT, by making business mobile devices more appealing to consumers.

The HP SimplePass 2.0 technology has fingerprint identification that remembers passwords at different Web sites such as Facebook or Twitter.
The system aims to eliminate phishing or password stealing scams by generating unique one-time passwords that are linked to the user's fingerprint.
