Johannesburg, 17 Mar 2000

The award winning Hewlett-PackardOmniBook 4150 is now available from Tarsus Technologies. Added to the top class hardware packed into this mobile powerhouse are Hewlett-Packard`s TopTools proprietary management tools that guarantee full manageability.

"While many vendors sell manageable desktop PCs, Hewlett-Packard fully equips its notebooks with the proper tools to them as corporate , whether they`re on the road, or docked on a desk," declares Margie Adam, PC product manager for Hewlett-Packard at Tarsus Technologies. She reveals that the OmniBook 4150 bagged a PC Magazine Editors Choice award for the combination of the TopTools manageability solution and the powerful components inside the machine.

TopTools is HP`s Web-based management package for dynamically devices on the network; Version 4.5 for Notebooks ships on all OmniBooks. "This version is specifically designed for the OmniBook, as opposed to morphing a desktop solution onto a notebook," says Adam. TopTools for Notebooks supports all attributes of the DMI 2.0 specification, while implementing more than 300 additional elements specific to HP notebooks.
