HP portfolio prime for enterprise

HP has revealed an expanded portfolio of offerings for enterprise organisations seeking to drive efficiency, cost savings and environmental responsibility into their imaging and printing operations, reports FoxBusiness.

Designed to help enterprise customers optimise and manage their imaging and printing environments and improve document workflows, the new offerings include two high-speed scanners, extensibility platform capabilities, fleet management software, solutions for telecommuters, and five large-format devices.

"Companies are searching for ways to reduce costs, increase efficiency and improve environmental soundness," says David Murphy, senior vice-president, LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, HP.

Helping to meet the demanding colour requirements of commercial print, print-for-pay and creative graphic arts users, Canon and Kodak's Print On-Demand Solutions Group will collaborate to develop a new server offering for Canon's imagePress C7000VP, C6000VP and C6000 Digital Presses, according to FoxBusiness.

As a result of the development of the new server, powered by CREO Colour Server Technology, Canon digital press customers will be able to seamlessly integrate a variety of professional workflows with open connectivity using JDF standards, including Kodak Prinergy Workflow Solutions.

The new server is expected to be a powerful variable data printing solution supporting professional third-party applications and languages.

Online printing is now more automated, customised and easier to deliver thanks to Xerox's new Web Services 7.0, powered by Press-sense, reports GraphicArtsOnline.

Part of Xerox's FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection, Web Services 7.0 is a complete online print solution that lets print providers process job orders, manage production and stay connected with their customers.

For print buyers, version 7.0 offers personalisation capabilities and 24-hour access to quotes, PDF proofs and job status reports.
