HP releases converged infrastructure solutions

HP has unveiled converged infrastructure solutions in networking, security and scalable computing it says enhance the delivery of application services to business, writes TechDay.

The new solutions are based on 'HP Converged Infrastructure', which offers integrated servers, storage, networking and software.

“Enterprises are realising that applications are only as good as the infrastructure that powers them,” says Kevin Rooney, director of enterprise storage, servers and networking at HP South Pacific. “HP Converged Infrastructure delivers significant advantages in deployment speed, performance, reliability and management of applications that provide organisations quantifiable results over traditional environments.”

Enterprise IP video provider VBrick Systems has unveiled the first streaming video solution that is fully integrated into Microsoft's Office Communicator and SharePoint products, says Benzinga.

This integration enables users to collaborate with co-workers by implementing rich media into the familiar unified communications technologies they use every day (instant messaging, desktop sharing, VOIP and others), the report says.

The Streaming Gateway combines the power of streaming video with the real-time collaboration capabilities of Office Communicator. The Vems-SharePoint Integration Module equips users to discover and share video-based content from within any SharePoint site, according to the company.

Fujifilm's printing services group has entered into a strategic alliance with ColorCentric to enhance their respective capabilities in the digital imaging fulfilment marketplace, reports Picture Business Mag.

ColorCentric is a print-on-demand company, providing digital press solutions to companies. Fujifilm's printing services group is a provider of photographic products including film developing and processing, digital prints, and a variety of personalised photo specialty products.
