Hewlett-Packard South Africa (HP SA) has announced the immediate local availability of the HP LaserJet 3300mfp series, a new addition to its multifunction product (MFP) portfolio.
The HP 3300mfp is aimed at helping small work teams, personal business users and remote workers better manage their printing environments and improve their day-to-day document workflow.
Says Ashely Flinders, Imaging and Printers Product manager at HP SA: "During 2000, HP conducted research in Europe that showed that small businesses have a clear need for versatile multi-function products to help them manage document information flow and communication with customers and partners. We`ve identified similar needs in the South African market.
"The HP LaserJet 3300mfp series has been designed to meet those needs. It is an affordable multi-functional product, based on the HP LaserJet`s reliability and quality. The product provides high-speed mono laser printing, robust flatbed copying, colour scanning and faxing."
A combination of flatbed scanning technology and professional software assistants turns hardcopy documents into electronic files that can be archived and distributed to e-mail and other Internet addresses around the world.
The product boasts 14 pages per minute (ppm) print and copy speed, with the first page out in less than 10 seconds. The HP LaserJet 3300mfp series supports the hp PCL 6 and HP PostScript level II emulation print languages and can be used by Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh owners.
The HP LaserJet 3300mfp integrates digital and analogue communication capabilities in a single compact device, which can be located close to the user, reducing business costs and saving space and time.
Apart from printing and copying, the LaserJet 3330mfp offers advanced functionality such as one-touch send-to-e-mail, PC faxing and remote copying to a shared or networked colour printer.
The LaserJet features a range of connectivity options, including standard USB, parallel ports and optional external print servers, making it making it well-suited to individual and workgroup use.
The HP LaserJet 3320n MFP also comes equipped with the HP Jetdirect 310x External Print Server/Internet Connector for USB, for optimised print networking. This external print server is compatible with HP Web JetAdmin printer management software, includes with an embedded Web server for diagnostics and supplies ordering, and can link to network-capable printers with USB ports in any Ethernet/Fast Ethernet operating environment.
The LaserJet 3300mfp offers sharp print quality with 1200dpi at full engine speed for professional business documents, including graphics and images. It also has expandable memory to grow with customers` business requirements.
The HP LaserJet 3300mfp is available at a list price of R8 999 (VAT incl).
