HP, Sage
HP and Sage Software have developed reference configurations of HP's hardware and storage systems and Sage's SalesLogix CRM application, says Channel Network.
The vendors say this will speed up sales and implementation cycles for their channel partners. The two companies are targeting the reference configurations, which are part of the HP business intelligence portfolio, toward small and medium-sized businesses.
They will be of particular value to businesses that are undertaking proof-of-concept CRM projects, the companies say.

Best Buy announced the formation of a partner programme in June, and for the IMSN, which had upgraded its own IT infrastructure in order to support large deals with national IT providers.
In the deal, Best Buy will use its own technicians to handle up to sub-server solutions, such as desktop and notebook services.

The MSPAlliance initiated its vendor accreditation programme on Monday, selecting seven companies for their work and business model with managed service providers, says Channel Network.
The first seven accredited partners are: Intel, SilverBack Technologies/Dell, Asigra, Untangle, XRoads Networks, LiveCargo and N-Able Technologies.
The MSPAlliance first announced plans for the accreditation programme in May. Charles Weaver, president of the MSP Alliance, said they hope to have up to 50 accredited vendors by the end of the year.
