HP, SAP accelerate transactions
Hewlett-Packard's (HP) server-based XML accelerator, working within SAP NetWeaver process integration technology, will speed both XML transactions and the business processes based on them, the company says, according to eWeek.
Despite the global recession, both HP and SAP have been rolling out a number of enterprise applications and platforms designed to integrate and streamline business functions.
SAP and HP have collaborated on speeding up business transactions for messages sized from 7MB to 15MB, with HP rolling out the first server-based XML accelerator designed to speed the mapping of XML messages within the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration technology.
MS Geneva enters Beta 2
Microsoft has released the Beta 2 of Geneva, its identity platform for the cloud, adding single sign-on capabilities across server applications and cloud-based services, and long-awaited support for SAML 2.0, states Computerworld.
Microsoft has added a number of new features around Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 specification, including SAML interoperability with identity software from CA, Novell, SAP and Sun.
In addition, Microsoft will add certification for the Liberty Alliance implementation of SAML 2.0 when the final code of Geneva is released at the end of 2009.
Boundless, Ericom extend agreement
Boundless Technologies, a provider of thin clients and text terminals, and Ericom Software, a provider of application access and virtualisation solutions, have extended their agreement under which all Boundless Linux, CE and XPe thin clients ship preloaded with Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect client software, says Trading Markets.
The Boundless thin clients are ready to deploy in server-based computing environments that use Ericom's PowerTerm WebConnect server for administration and management.
Boundless thin clients with Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView and PowerTerm WebConnect DeskView software provide users with secure local and remote access to applications and desktops running on Windows Terminal Servers, virtual desktops, blade PCs and legacy host systems.
