HP has introduced a call management service it says aligns HP and SAP support capabilities.
This provides customers with a solution for their SAP requirements across the technology infrastructure. Developed in cooperation with SAP, the HP Mission Critical Services Enhancement offers customers support services for their mission-critical SAP solution-based environments, says the company.
“HP Mission Critical support aligns with SAP Enterprise Support commitments for mission-critical business operations, helping customers protect their IT investments and lower total costs of operations,” says Uwe Hommel, executive vice-president, Active Global Support, SAP.
The service provides customers with a single point of reference for all incidents. Customers can log their issues through either the HP or SAP call centre, explains HP.
Another addition to HP's support for SAP environments is the HP Application Performance Standard Meter Service. HP says companies using this service can bill specific SAP solutions to the appropriate departments according to actual utilisation, similar to a utility bill.
“Customers require not only application and infrastructure expertise, but also an end-to-end view, extensive monitoring and close collaboration between their technology supplier and SAP to quickly resolve problems,” says Leon Erasmus, technology services country manager, Enterprise Business, HP SA.
