HP, SKF renew outsourcing contract
Sourcingfocus.com reports.
The contract will cover the improvement of IT services over 42 countries and 20 000 users through the transformation of SKF infrastructure, including the servicing of more than 10 000 service desk calls per month.
HP will deliver these infrastructure and applications services from HP Global Delivery Centres to give SKF superior cost-efficiency and flexibility, Cloud Computing 365 notes.
As the SKF Group expands, HP delivers the ability to support growth in the Asia Pacific region and to merge newly acquired companies into the IT infrastructure without disruption.
"SKF recognises the need for process excellence both in the business and from an IT governance perspective," says Johan Tommervik, SKF Group CIO. "HP has been a key partner in transforming our IT environment with globalisation and standardisation. Renewing the agreement ensures that SKF maintains a stable, future-proof IT environment for all business areas and more than 500 applications.”
