HP unveils new range
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched a range of printers and peripherals, along with a $300 million marketing campaign, says The Economic Times.
Speaking at the Print 2.0 strategy in New York recently, Vyomesh Joshi, EVP of imaging and printing, said HP wants to make it easier to print from Web sites.
"With print 2.0, we're leveraging the power of the Web as a gateway for our customers to communicate, collaborate and publish their content in ways they could not before," said Joshi.
Dixons chooses Lexmark
Lexmark is now managing Dixons Store Group International's (DSGi's) overall output infrastructure as part of a customised strategy, reports CNN Money.
The basic strategy is to standardise equipment, implement the latest technology, drive continuous improvement and reduce costs and environmental impact.
Lexmark has installed monochrome and colour laser printers, along with multifunction products at DSGi's headquarters, retail stores and distribution centres. All devices have been integrated on the network to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
HumanEyes seeks Fujifilm
HumanEyes Technologies, a lenticular 3D software developer, and Fujifilm Graphic Systems, distributor of graphics systems products in the United States, have announced their partnership, reports Packaging and Converting Essentials.
HumanEyes has certified the Fujifilm Acuity HD 2504 flatbed UV printer for the production of lenticular and LensFreeT prints using HumanEyes' lenticular software solution, PrintPro 2.0.
The companies will together promote the 3D and lenticular printing opportunity to Fuji's flatbed customers.
