Tarsus Technologies has announced the availability of the HP Business Inkjet 1200, the vendor`s most cost-effective and performance-centric business inkjet to date.
"The Business Inkjet 1200 is aimed at individuals and small work teams within any size environment, who need to benefit from fast, reliable and simple-to-use printing functionality," says Drikus van der Walt, product manager at Tarsus Technologies.
"Most remarkable of the improvements made with the release of the 1200," Van der Walt says, "is the inclusion of high-capacity print cartridges that allow users access to never before seen high ink yields and consequent cost savings. "Besides cost savings, the high-yield cartridges and 150/250 page input trays mean users will spend less time interacting with the printer for maintenance and more time focusing on the job at hand. With print speeds rated at 28ppm for black text and 24ppm for colour documents, users can expect printing tasks to be delivered in shorter time frames. The 1200 also features a 6 250-page per month duty cycle, meaning users will seldom have to worry about exceeding recommended print volumes."
The increase in print speed present in the Business Inkjet 1200 results from HP`s new High Performance Architecture (HPA), which uses the resources of both the host computer and printer to deliver print jobs faster. "This technology, combined with HP`s Photoret III Precision ensures that print jobs are completed quickly and with the highest quality level," Van der Walt says.
The Business Inkjet 1200 has also been designed with networking functionality in mind, extending benefits to multiple users.
With built-in 802.3 wired Fast Ethernet and embedded Wireless Ethernet 802.11b/g, the HP 1200dtwn model offers both the performance benefits of using a wired connection and the convenience of using a wireless connection. The printer is also bundled with remote management software that simplifies configuration and management, which can be performed from any standard Web browser.
"Overall, the HP Business Inkjet 1200 has all of the features, functionality and cost saving measures users have been requesting for some time now. This unit will ultimately prove that there is a viable and valuable place for Inkjet technology in the business market yet," Van der Walt concludes.
