HP's networking boss quits

Haas, whose title was senior VP and GM, HP Networking, left to “pursue other interests,” according to an HP spokesperson, who confirmed his departure to CRN over the weekend.
Bethany Mayer, currently VP of worldwide marketing and alliances for ESSN, will be acting lead for HP Networking effective immediately.
Private-equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) has appointed Haas as an industry adviser where his focus will include potential technology-sector investments, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Haas' departure comes as HP undergoes a transformation under new CEO Leo Apotheker, Replacing Mark Hurd after questions were raised about his personal conduct, Apotheker has already been involved in overhauling the company's board of directors.
Last month, HP said Thomas E Hogan, who ran its corporate sales and marketing, was resigning to pursue other interests.
Adam Clammer, head of KKR's technology team, said Haas “brings 20 years of technology industry experience, including significant expertise evaluating investment opportunities and successfully executing and integrating acquisitions.”
Another change in the HP heads is the Ann Livermore, who is the executive VP of the company's Enterprise Business behemoth - had the Technology Services portion ripped away from her and moved over to Dave Donatelli, the ex-EMCer who was brought in to run the Enterprise Server, Storage, and Networking business, writes IT Voir.com.
Livermore has been named interim chief of the remaining Enterprise Services unit.
