Driving the company`s push into the MFP marketplace, HP has introduced the LaserJet 3380 to South African SOHO and medium enterprises that require increased productivity and professional results from an all-in-one product.
The new LaserJet 3380 provides high-quality laser printing and copying, high-resolution scanning as well as faxing - all from a space-saving, competitively priced product.
The printer offers the following enhanced functionalities:
* Instant-on technology that eliminates warm-up time and enables a first-page-out speed of eight seconds;
* Based on proven HP LaserJet technology, the product delivers business-quality imaging at 1 200 by 1 200dpi output;
* Easy connectivity with optional networking capabilities makes the product a versatile, high-value hardcopy solution for your small workgroup; and
* HP toolbox software makes product configuration simple.
Adds Zandr'e Rudolph, HP product manager at Rectron: "The new HP LaserJet 3380 enables effortless multitasking - users can now scan documents while receiving a fax or processing a print job. Also, the printer ships standard with enhanced scanner software that includes Readiris Pro Optical Character Recognition."
The LaserJet 3380 also features a powerful 240MHz processor and 32MB of built-in memory (expandable to 96MB for even higher performance), as well as PCL 6 and PCL 5e printer drivers and HP PostScript level two emulation to provide fast and dependable printing from virtually any application.
Additionally, the all-in-one offers fast processing speeds of up to 33.6kbps with the V.34 fax modem, and can store up to 250 pages of important fax documents with 4MB of memory.
Other fax features include: 120 fax number speed-dial, fax forwarding, fax auto-reduction, junk-fax barrier, fax-delayed sending, polling receiving, and distinctive ring detection.
