HR transformation gains momentum
Employer Services, provider of payroll and benefits administration services, today released a joint report with the Human Resources Outsourcing Association revealing that the HR transformation movement is continuing to gain momentum globally, states PR-inside.
The report uncovered that a full 90% of respondents are currently working on HR transformation, up from 75% in 2006. Additionally, 64% of respondents said they intend to expand the scope of their HR transformation in the coming years.
Now in its fifth year, the 2008 Global HR Transformation Report studies trends in HR transformation practices in organisations around the globe.
Vic police overhaul HR, payroll system
Victoria Police's technology unit, under investigation for fraud and carrying a $90 million (R952.6 million) black hole in its accounts, has begun a multi-million-dollar HR and payroll systems overhaul, reports Australian IT.
This will see Victoria Police upgrading its HR and payroll systems, based on SAP.
The project, understood to be worth about $10 million (R105.9 million), will involve enterprise software vendor SAP designing and installing a new HR management system. Software testing will be performed by Melbourne-based Revolution IT.
Empower, Sage in business deal
Empower has acquired Sage North America's tax compliance services business and enterprise-level customer base, and will provide outsourced tax compliance services to Sage Abra HRMS customers, says msnbc.
The business being acquired by Empower is currently marketed as Sage Compliance Services, and managed under the Sage North America's employer solutions business unit.
The new relationship enables Sage to better leverage its core strength in delivering HR management system software and services for small and mid-sized enterprises in North America, and allows Empower to provide important services to its customers and market.
