HTC Vivid gets Android
Rethink Wireless reports.
In addition to this smartphone, the carrier released a list of other devices that are due to be getting the latest version of Android over the "coming months". These include: the LG Nitro, Motorola Atrix 2, Motorola Atrix 4G, Pantech Burst, Pantech Element, Samsung Captivate Glide, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Android 4.0 for HTC Vivid also brings improved e-mail features, which will make it easier for users to send, read and manage e-mails through recipient auto-completion and stored text, Softpedia writes.
It is also worth mentioning that the e-mail app now supports EAS v14, along with EAS certificate authentication.
Other user interface Improvements include the option to access the notification bar on the lock screen, or the possibility to drag apps and shortcuts on top of one another to create folders. There's also a new completely customisable Launch Bar. Widgets are now resizable.
