Huge Group executive director Stephen Tredoux resigned as a staff member from the beginning of August, says the listed telecommunications company.
In a Stock Exchange News Service announcement issued on Friday, the company said Tredoux was a staff member of subsidiary Huge Telecom.
He has "decided to pursue other full time interests", the company says, but will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
Tredoux was appointed to the board on 6 March 2008. He has experience in the accounting, property management, manufacturing and IT sectors.
He worked for MTN for 11-and-a-half years, after being appointed to the cellular giant in 1995. Tredoux was initially employed as general sales manager responsible for the distribution channels of MTN.
Tredoux was part of the executive management team and was involved with the overall strategy and management of the business until MTN purchased M-Tel (MTN SP).
After the acquisition by MTN of M-Tel, he moved to an executive sales and advertising role.
