Hundreds of computer enthusiasts, ranging from those working within the IT industry to hobbyists and home users, are expected at the first SDD Gauteng Technology Showcase which takes place in Midrand on March 17 and 18. Organised by Siltek Distribution Dynamics (SDD), South Africa`s largest broadbased technology distributor, the Technology Showcase is part of the largest, most diverse and most travelled technology showcase ever held in South Africa. According to Aldean Prior, marketing manager at SDD, the Showcase gives dealers and computer-users an unprecedented opportunity to view the latest IT products from the world`s leading vendors. "The response from dealers throughout Gauteng, and even as far away as North West province, has been fantastic. They clearly welcome the opportunity to see the latest products and meet the vendors in a convenient location without having to be away from their businesses for more than a few hours," she says. "The Showcase is structured in such a way that visitors can attend for an hour, a morning or a full day. And they`re assured of a rewarding experience, especially if they take time to participate in some of the frequent breakaway sessions to be held at regular intervals throughout the day." SDD Gauteng Technology show will feature the entire spectrum of `best of breed` product offerings including file-servers, desktop and notebook PCs, printers, hand-held PCs, software and even consumables from the world top vendors. SDD vendors, including household names such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Canon will be directly represented at the show. The Gauteng SDD Technology Showcase takes place at Gallagher Estate, Midrand on March 17 and 18 from 09h00 to 18h00. Entrance is free.
