An upcoming conference, Human Capital Management Using Social Media, will discuss how to capitalise on human resources using Web 2.0 technologies and social media.
Organised by Classic Events, the event will take place on 20 and 21 October, at the Wanderer's Club, in Illovo.
It will feature talks on social media technologies, as well as discuss some case studies of companies that have successfully implemented such systems. One such case study is the Deloitte "Web 2.0 for Employee Engagement" presentation, scheduled for the first day.
The event is split into two separate days, for different focus areas. Day one deals with talent management, such as talent identification and reward. Day two deals with learner management systems, which discusses mentoring and future employees.
Registered delegates will also be directed to a "virtual sand pit" created by Jonathan Hall, which will allow them to become more informed on Web 2.0 basics before the conference.
The event will feature speakers such as Tebello Mokhema, group manager of training, development and training management for ACSA; Jenefer Morgan, senior manager at Deloitte; Yusuf Mahomedy, founder of Work Sucks; and Dave Duarte, CEO of Huddlemind.
