
Hyland takes on European market
Hyland Software, an enterprise content management (ECM) software vendor, has built a data centre to support its software-as-a-service ECM solutions, reports Web Host Industry Review.
The company's OnBase ECM software suite is being extended to Europe with the unveiling of the UK data center.
Hyland Software Europe and Africa director Mark Greatorex says: "Document and content management today not only has to match business needs, but it also must be able to change when those needs change.”
Open Text adds iPhone app
Open Text has released an ECM application for the iPhone for accessing services within the company's FirstClass collaboration and messaging suite, states Intelligent Enterprise.
The FirstClass Mobile client is available as a free download from the App Store, a retail site operated by Apple for downloading third-party applications for the iPhone.
John Myers, VP and GM of Open Text's Communications Solutions Group, says: "With the FirstClass Mobile App we're able to give iPhone and iPod touch users a powerful communications solution that delivers a true mobile collaboration experience.”
Alfresco unveils open source ECM
Alfresco Software has released its latest open source ECM suite called the Alfresco Community Edition 3.2, says PRWeb.
Martin Musierowicz, VP of Alliances, Alfresco Software, says: "Alfresco's approach to ECM is to combine ease of use with a broad range of features without the complexity of proprietary solutions."
Using Ubuntu's Package Manager functionality, users can select and download new software from Ubuntu's partner repository.
