Hyperion and i2 Technologies have announced plans to integrate Hyperion Essbase, the leading OLAP server, into i2`s TradeMatrix e-marketplace platform.
The expanded partnership between i2 and Hyperion enables both companies to extend business analysis into the exploding market for online business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce, which industry analysts estimate will grow to over $1 trillion over the next five years.
i2 has chosen Hyperion Essbase OLAP Server as the strategic online analytical processing (OLAP) platform within TradeMatrix, i2`s one-stop destination for business-to-business and business-to-consumer e-commerce. The integration of Hyperion Essbase as a hosted application will give TradeMatrix users an enhanced ability to access, analyse, report and forecast their transactions with customers and suppliers along with analysing the behaviour and preferences of website visitors.

The integration of Hyperion Essbase and TradeMatrix is planned for availability from i2 in the third quarter.
