Hyperion, locally represented by Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI), has announced that it is teaming with IBM to extend Hyperion`s Essbase OLAP technology to the S/390 platform, making it the first enterprise OLAP server to run natively on OS/390.
The announcement marks an expansion to Hyperion`s global relationship with IBM, and was made in conjunction with the introduction of IBM DB2 OLAP Server 1.1 for OS/390.
Leading industry analysts conclude that more than 70% of all corporate data resides on mainframes. With these announcements, thousands of S/390 customers will be able to transform Terabytes of data from mainframes, data warehouses, ERP, CRM and e-business systems into actionable business information.
