I-Fusion enters Xerox Channel programme

Extending the reach of its laser as well as personal copier and inkjet printer products, the local subsidiary of the Xerox Channel Group (XCG) has accepted systems integrator and outsourcer, I-Fusion, into its Xtraordinary Performer (XP) reseller programme.

Angie Samuel, marketing manager at XCG SA, says the move is supportive of the growing demand in the corporate market for Xerox products - particularly in the network laser printer category.

Stefano Mattiello, MD: systems integration at I-Fusion, agrees, adding that the relationship with XCG is consistent with I-Fusion`s of setting up partnerships with key technology vendors. "We see Xerox as a world class player rapidly gaining acceptance in this market," he says. According to Samuel, admission to the programme allows I-Fusion to benefit from pre- and post-sales support, access to demonstration and evaluation equipment as well as price breaks based on volumes shipped.

"Tighter budgets and tougher economic conditions mean corporate SA is taking more notice of issues such as image cost, reflected in the frequency with which consumables such as toner cartridges and fuser units must be replaced."

Samuel contends that this heightened has driven the growth XCG has enjoyed in its first year of business in SA. "Our growing band of XPs and, more recently, Xtraordinary Resellers (XRs) are speeding acceptance of Xerox technology by educating customers to the risks inherent in selecting products without carefully evaluating the alternatives," she says.
