I-Fusion has confirmed a deal with networking vendor 3Com that will see the company continue to support and maintain the CoreBuilder high-end switching devices for at least three years.
This follows an announcement by 3Com in the US regarding its divestment of large enterprise LAN core products to Extreme Networks.
"Our customers can rest assured that we will continue supporting them and their high-end installations of 3Com networking equipment and that their product investments are safe," says Dean Hall, MD of I-Fusion Networks.
I-Fusion will work with existing 3Com customers in the three-year period to formulate a migration path off the CoreBuilder products. "We will assist clients with a strategy to meet their tactical and strategic needs for short and long-term operation, as well as continuing to support, maintain and service their equipment," says Hall.
The CoreBuilder products from 3Com are the building blocks of an e-commerce solution, allowing the connectivity users require to make information and transaction systems available to their customers. CoreBuilder also has the functionality to provide clients with a converged network option, allowing those features to be incorporated at a later stage if need be.
"We feel that the CoreBuilder product range is an excellent one and that is why we are so confident in supporting it for the next three years," says Hall.
I-Fusion Networks has a national support, maintenance and service infrastructure, capable of reaching the most remote geographic locations.
