Swedish developer of firewall technology, Ingate Systems, has appointed i-Security as its sole distributor in Africa, the company says.
Johannesburg-based i-Security will supply and maintain Ingate`s SIP-enabled firewalls and other SIP-ennoblement products, as well as provide customer support.

Ingate Firewalls and SIParators - devices that connect to an existing network firewall to enable SIP communications - offer support for SIP-based IP communications, such as VOIP, the company says.
Ingate claims its hardware products solve the network address translation (NAT) traversal issues inherent in SIP communications, and offer both far-end and near-end NAT traversal to extend the SIP capabilities within the corporate network to remote workers.
I-Security`s business model combines direct sales with the appointment of value-adding resellers for specific products in defined territories, says CEO Jeremy Miller.
Ingate`s clients include retail companies, financial institutions, industrial firms, government agencies and small to large enterprises throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
