Simphiwe Gxadeni, Mzimasi Lucus; Luvuyo Koyana and Athi Mazodwa are the ambitious students, and the latest entrepreneurs who will be balancing studies with an exciting new business venture. SMSPortal provided these lucky winners with the opportunity and necessary tools to start up their own successful bulk messaging business.

SMSPortal Director Charles Stretch congratulates the winners.

Earlier this year, local university students were invited to enter the second annual SMSPortal “Win your own Bulk SMS Business”, and four winners were selected. Wednesday 3 August 2011 saw the eager new entrepreneurs received a 100% share in their very own new budding business - SMSAction; ChampSMS; SMSenterprise; and InfoSMS are now up and running.

The entrepreneur's package will allow the winners to start their new business immediately and make a profit from day one. Prizes included: a notebook laptop from which to conduct their business, a branded Web site for their prospective clients to visit; as well as free SMS credits and the ability to send SMSes to 156 counties worldwide.

Site training has also be made available to ensure the business runs as smoothly as possible, while no hosting fees will be charged. The young entrepreneurs might still be busy with their particular courses, ranging from law to mechanical engineering; they are confident and eager to make a success of their respective businesses.

The “Win your own Bulk SMS Business” initiative came about in an effort to fulfil SMSPortal's responsibility to the communities among which it operates, aiming to bring about sustainable economic development and social upliftment.
