IBD Group demos Arbor Integration Server

Johannesburg, 23 Jul 1998

IBD Group, local distributor for Arbor Software, today demonstrated Arbor Integration Server (AIS), a suite of tools that reconciles the need for rapid deployment of data marts and the need for centralised control of the data warehouse.

Dave Fawcett, director of the IBD Group, said AIS uses a multi-tier data warehouse architecture, known as hub-and-spoke, whereby application-specific OLAP data marts run against an application-neutral data warehouse.

Currently in beta 1, AIS is planned for commercial availability later this year, the company said.
