IBM has announced that US-based Emerging Technology Solutions (ETS), which recently merged with South African ITI Technology Holdings, is one of its three key business partners for a series of packaged end-to-end e-business applications, which enable back-office Internet connectivity.
Gerhard Coetzee, CEO of ITI Technology comments: "This is the result of the strong working relationship between our US arm, ETS, and IBM - this deal is great news for our local position. It demonstrates the high level of technical competence at ETS which we have at our disposal and is expected to significantly increase our annuity dollar-based revenues."
With the purchase of the IBM bundle, customers get an AS/400e Dedicated Server for Domino, designed to run Lotus Domino applications, and can choose from one of the three vendors` software, service and integration packages, including ETS` Business-in-a-Box.
An integrated suite of 23 databases that enable enterprise relationship management (ERM) at the organisational level, ETS` Business-in-a-Box 5.0 is accessible to anyone in a company via a Lotus Notes client or a Web browser. The solution`s applications automate the processes of ERM, including sales force automation, operations and human resources management, cost and asset tracking, and administration.
"ETS has been working on this strategic initiative with IBM for almost six months," says Bud Brasier, CEO and president of ETS. "This partnership will drive very significant sales and revenue for the company."
Pricing starts at $64 695 for 50 users and includes Business-in-a-Box 5.0, installation and configuration of Domino and Notes, and data migration services. Customisation and integration with third-party vendor software is also available.
Three-times Lotus Beacon award-winner ETS provides shrink-wrapped solutions to business problems. Leveraging Lotus Notus and Domino technologies, ETS` flagship - Business-in-a-Box - and other `in-a-Box` applications address a range of core business functions.
